Hey, my name is Kaison Parker and this is Sunny On Films. My blog is about films and everything films in general. I plan on having some all-around examinations on some classic films and shine some light on hidden gems that everyone may not have seen. Every movie deserves a chance or in certain cases a second one. I also want to create a list of movies categorizing them by genres, dates, and creativity of the creators. I want to give my personal reviews and provide reasons for why you should watch them, by relating popular movies to them and showing clips, photos, and summaries. I also want to celebrate the history of our people during our very short month, by finding movies that were created by my people and give them some empowerment. I’ll be recognizing indie films, short films, nearly any motion picture and directors, actors and producers that have made a mark in mainstream media.
I believe every film tells its own story and reflects the person who made them, just like anything dealing with art. Often when watching movies I find myself looking past the top layer of the films and notice all the little things as well as the techniques the directors use to get certain shots. I cherish all kinds of films and I even see myself creating one in this lifetime. Hopefully, this blog can connect me to some of my favorite directors/actors and I can learn from some of the legends that inspired me. Movies have always been a passion of mine to enjoy especially when it’s original or has a great story, but with this blog, I sincerely hope to share knowledge with all my fellow film lovers and I encourage you to shine some light with Sunny On Films.
